Salary: Likely be in the range of $100,000 - $138,000, the exact compensation will be determined once scope and start date confirmed.

ABOUT THE ROLE
17 Sport is seeking expressions of interest for a potential Account Director role. This role would be part of the growing US team, to lead the day to day implementation and management of our US client projects. This role will initially begin focused on one client with the intention to cover multiple clients as the team grows.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring trust, strong communication, and long-term partnership development.
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of client projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality execution that meets or exceeds expectations.
Support the development of sport sponsorship activations, from strategic planning through implementation, serving as the accountable owner of activation delivery.
Manage and coordinate internal and external teams—including strategy, creative, and execution—to bring sponsorship activations and projects to life seamlessly.
Identify new opportunities with existing clients, recommending strategic, creative, and partnership solutions that drive additional value and deepen engagement
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across internal departments (strategy, creative, production/execution, admin) to ensure integrated, high-performing project delivery.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as athletes, partners, talent, and teams, securing alignment and long-term engagement.
Manage external agencies, suppliers, and production partners who support delivery of client projects and activations.
Proactively problem-solve, both in planning phases and in real time, anticipating challenges and implementing solutions that minimize risk and maintain project momentum.
Track performance and impact of sponsorship activations using key metrics, translating insights into recommendations for continuous improvement.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and best practices to provide clients with forward-thinking guidance and keep projects at the forefront of sport sponsorship and fan engagement.
As a small business, we ask team members to be adaptable and agile. There may be moments where you are asked to take on a task outside of your core responsibilities, but where you have the relevant skills. You will also be required to travel both within the USA and abroad as required by the company and to meet your client responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of experience in account management, brand partnerships, or marketing within the sports, entertainment, or creative industries.
Demonstrated success managing and growing client relationships, including identifying and developing new opportunities.
Strong ability to lead cross-functional collaboration both internally and externally.
Proven track record in planning and delivering sport sponsorship activations, creative campaigns, experiential marketing, and events—ideally with sports teams, leagues, or brands.
Robust project management expertise, including overseeing budgets, timelines, workflows, and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience working with high-profile clients, sponsors, and partners, with the ability to build rapport and maintain trust.
Deep understanding of sports marketing, fan engagement, and the intersection of sport, culture, and brand partnerships.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel across the U.S. and occasionally internationally to support on-site activations.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
