2022 GSW SOCIAL BOOSTER WINNERS
ALONGSIDE GLOBAL SPORTS WEEK, WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS OF THE 2022 GSW SOCIAL BOOSTER PROGRAM.
The Global Sports Week Social Booster Program, powered by 17 Sport, is an acceleration program that promotes and supports impact-led sports projects from around the world. It is open to nonprofits and social businesses that use sport to address UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 5 & 13. In the first 2 years of the program, we have worked with a total 16 nonprofits and social enterprises to boost their impact.
We received 102 applications for the 2022 program, from projects running in 58 countries across 6 continents. After careful consideration, we are excited to announce the winners!

From mental health and youth empowerment to climate action, this year's winners are already delivering tangible impact through sport on the ground in Lebanon, the UK, Uganda, Brazil, Nepal, South Africa, and beyond.
USING THE POWER OF THE SPORTS INDUSTRY AS A FORCE FOR GOOD
The program is a key component in recognising existing sport for development efforts - and seeking to boost their impact through pro bono support and a drive to match established purpose-driven business with grassroot nonprofits and social enterprises who are already delivering very real impact on the ground.
The six winners will have the opportunity to pitch their project to prospective investors and key leaders of the world sports economy during Global Sports Week 2022 from May 9-13. After the event, they will also take part in a three-month acceleration program led by our team at 17 Sport.
